The Careway Story
At Careway, we believe that every senior in the United States should be able to navigate healthcare in order to live their life to the fullest, and we are here to help them achieve that seamlessly.
As of 2024, Medicare officially began covering patient advocacy services. That means for the first time, older adults can get support from trained advocates—at typically no cost to them. We launched Careway because we've seen firsthand how overwhelming the healthcare system can be and the impact of care navigation on patient outcomes.
The Careway team has spent our entire careers in healthcare. Our lead physician, Dr. Margarita Pena has 30+ years of experience in Emergency Medicine at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit. As Medical Director of St. John's Clinical Decision Unit, she led efforts to improve care coordination and outcomes for underserved patients, with deep expertise in addressing social determinants of health.
When you join Careway, you will be matched with a personal advocate who will take the time to understand your health needs and help find custom solutions. We don't work for any doctor, hospital, or insurance company. We work for you, our patient. In every session, we ask ourselves: What can we do today to make your life a little easier?
